Technically Excellent But Why?

Greetings and welcome to my photography blog. Look around while I will attempt to explain a little bit about my photographs and myself.

The first order of business is that you won't find any beautiful landscapes, I tend to photograph everyday scenes and objects that you might find behind your local strip mall. I had one photographer comment that my photographs are technically excellent but why? Exactly the response I wanted, the why is the most important part of my photos, sometimes you have to find your own why.

So in the beginning, just like about everyone else, I have always had some interest or dealing with cameras and pictures, but it wasn't really fascinated with photography until as a young man I took a job at the local police department and part of my duties including photographing crime scenes. It was the technical aspect of photography that really first intrigued me and then I learned the enormous impact that photographs can have on people when my photographs were evaluated by judges as to whether or not they could possibly "inflame" a jury.

You won't see any of those crime scene photos here, in reality most crime scene photos I took were very boring. What you will see is a depiction of the way I see the world, a world that constantly causes me to smile and sometimes shed a tear or two.
